“Our Tasting Room’s Favorite Wines”

Aug 19, 2024 | Wines

In the Sierra Vista Tasting room, it is our job to give you the best experience possible and guide you to the wines that you will enjoy the most. The question we get asked the most is, “What is your favorite wine?” So, we got together and discussed our favorite wines, this was not an easy task because we all love so many of the wines! Finally, we narrowed it down and came up with a list:

Ryan, our wine maker had a difficult time choosing.  His favorite wine is our Cabernet Sauvignon. He says “Our vines are 50 years old; it is a beautiful and complex wine that is uniquely drinkable.”

Tracy, our manager’s favorite wine is our Zinfandel Rosé. It is light, refreshing, tart, and the perfect wine for a hot summer day.” She loves the strawberry and grapefruit notes.

Aarika’s choice is White Grenache, this wine is so light and refreshing with lovely notes of strawberry and watermelon. Perfect easy summer drinking by the pool or lake.

Jalissa loves our Picpoul Blanc (honestly, this was a favorite across the board!) she loves this French varietal that brings the citrusy notes of Sauvignon Blanc, and the mouthfeel of a Viognier. This is a refreshing summer wine and one of our all-time favorites.

Danniel’s favorite is our Tiger Lily Outlaw. He appreciates that this red blend is smooth and very drinkable, yet uniquely complex and has a lot of character! This GSM has been a favorite for several vintages and continues to impress.

Debbie enjoys our Grenache both room temperature and chilled, she said “the flavors are so different, I like the ability to enjoy chilled or room temperature”. The chilled Grenache has been a huge hit in the tasting room as it makes this beautiful red wine perfect for summer!

Mark loves our Tiger Lily 1855. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot results in a surprisingly spicy and well-balanced red blend. “Easy drinking and full bodied”.

Kim appreciates our Viognier 2022. This lightly sweet white wine has a wonderful mouthfeel and notes of white peach and honeydew melon. Less sweet than previous vintages due to being harvested slightly earlier in the season, we have been loving how easy this wine is to drink!
