Friday Night Flights are a curated tasting experience that pairs a flight(3 large tastings) of Sierra Vista wines that are chosen to pair perfectly with chef Mike’s incredible and unique menu, crafted to complement each pour. Guests love it our Friday Night Flights as the menus change regularly and highlight fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each tasting is accompanied by friendly, knowledgeable staff that explain the inspiration behind each pairing.

Born in Carmel, California, and raised between Placerville and Half Moon Bay, Michael discovered a passion for cooking at just 14. Inspired by the joy of creating meals and seeing loved one’s smile, Michael embarked on a culinary career spanning over 25 years. As the owner of a successful restaurant in Half Moon Bay, Michael built a reputation for excellence, catering to high-profile clients like Oracle, Apple, the SF Yacht Club, and Universal Studios. Known for a dedication to hospitality and the art of food, Michael thrives on making people feel welcome and appreciated. In addition to personal success, Michael has mentored others in launching their own ventures and overcoming the challenges of the culinary industry. Deeply devoted to family, Michael draws inspiration from the connections that food and hospitality foster. Now living in the Sierras, Michael continues to create memorable experiences for visitors to Sierra Vista Winery and the local community, sharing a passion for bringing people together through food and meaningful moments.
