As we are nearing the end of the bulk of winter months, we as farmers and winemakers start shifting gears and looking ahead to the upcoming growing season. With the collective knowledge and experience of farming for many prior years we always strive to put our best foot forward each and every growing season. It is in this spirit that we have made the decision to completely revamp our trellising system in our Chardonnay vineyard block. We are upgrading from a dual wire and wooden stake trellis to an all metal double cross arm four wire system. This will allow the vines to grow higher vertically and will open the canopy for more sunlight and airflow. We are very eager to see the impact this upgrade will have on our Chardonnay vineyard this coming growing season.
